Conversation Data
The questions you ask and the answers you receive are stored directly in your web browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any server owned by us. You have full control and can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's cache or deleting conversations within the app.
Analytics
This application does not use any tracking or analytics cookies.
Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage solely to save your conversation history for your convenience, so you can revisit your previous chats.
Third-Party Services (Google Gemini)
To provide you with answers, your prompts (the legal questions you type) are sent to the Google Gemini API for processing. We do not send any personal identifiers along with your prompts. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle data.
Third-Party Services (Firebase)
The application includes code for an optional 'share' feature which uses Firebase. If you choose to share a specific answer, only that single message will be sent to Firebase to generate a shareable link. No other conversation data is shared.
To keep LawFrnd available as a free service, we display advertisements from third-party ad networks. These ads may appear while you are waiting for an answer to be generated. This advertising revenue helps us cover the significant costs of running the AI models that power this app. We do not share your personal conversation data with our advertising partners.
You have complete control over your data. You can delete individual messages or entire conversations at any time within the app. Deleting them removes them permanently from your browser's local storage.
